    Description

This vintage Weymann banjo from the 1920s is a rare instrument. This one is a tenor, four string model. It would be perfect for anyone looking for that classic Americana sound.
The Weymann brand is known for its exceptional quality, and this banjo is no joke. It was made nearly 100 years ago, right here in the USA. The mahogany resonator is in great shape, and the rosewood wrist guard is flawless. Real mother of pearl inlays all the way down from the fretboard to the head. Really an amazing set of strings.
Comes with the original case, the tuning key and finger and thumb picks.
It does have a few minor issues:
The weld at the bottom of the chrome ornamentation has detached and needs to be tack welded.
The last piece of ebony at the base of the neck has come off, and will need to be replaced.
The low string knob is missing a washer, and doesn’t stay tuned like it should.
Regardless, it sounds wonderful, and the fixes needed are minor. Anyone interested will have it playing perfectly with minimal additional investment.
Really cool piece of American musical history.
