Vintage Buckbee Style 1891 5 String Open back Banjo

Short scale neck 25 inch . Unknown maker. Beautiful shape . It had original handwriting in it in the wood that you can see pictured. It's dated 1891 by a general in some military branch. Pretty cool! Anyways this banjo is all original parts with some refurbishing done . The fret board has been refinished. New tuning pegs installed (Friction tuning pegs) . A new no-knot tailpiece, head skin has been replaced with some type of animal skin it feels and appears to be. Neck is only meant for Nylgut/nylon strings to be played on this banjo! Plunky sound , thing is as light as a feather.
