    Description

    Vintage East German 6 string banjo, probably from the early 1980s. Excellent, almost unplayed condition. It has a "arch top" style hoop with a metal ring, so I guess it functions as a tone ring or tone hoop. It has 18 frets and a "zero fret".  New Remo Fyberskin head, Grover Rotomatic closed gear tuners, modern 6-str. bridge & GHS 6-str. banjo strings. The position markers are fret decals; easily removed for something fancier.
    This was made when E. Germany was part of the communist block. Comes in it's original canvas carrying bag.
