A rare gem, manufactured for only a few years, this banjo still brags uniqueness in design and functionality. Fantastic live or in the studio. Killer for doubling melodies or comp tracks. Armed with a DeArmond soap bar hitting 4k on a flat spruce top with a maple resonator, when plugged in, there is plenty of attack and smack to go around. With the back removed, there is access to a tilt mechanism that allows neck adjustments.
The tailpiece is an exact replacement. The white plastic output jack plate is split but holds due to screws and output jack nut. The Phillips head screw under tailpiece holding the neck base may be aftermarket. Other than dings and wear, it is in playable condition and a historically notable collector piece. The fully detailed photos show the rest.
Ships with a soft-shell gig bag and unopened brand-new strings.
Adjustments and setups are not performed. Cleaning is not performed except dusting for photos. The bridge is removed for shipment. A knowledgeable setup is required.
