    Description

The Vega Little Wonder is a banjo with a pie-plate resonator. The pie-plate resonator is made of solid wood, which was unusual for the time. The Vega Little Wonder is a versatile, responsive banjo with a violin-grade maple neck.
This VEGA Banjo is a true gem from 1927. (Possibly 1926 or 1928 going by the 88027 serial number.  It is a tenor banjo with 4-strings, and a beautiful "Pie-Plate" resonator. The tuning pegs are made  by Grover as is the tailpiece.
The head is signed by Jos B. Rogers on the back side. Made in the United States, this particular model is highly regarded among musicians and collectors alike. The banjo is in good shape and has been played with care. It does show signs of use like some minor scratches and scuff marks. I did not polish or clean it for the pictures. It comes with a case to keep it safe during transport, but the case is in poor condition. I will package it well though. This is a great opportunity to add a rare piece of musical history to your collection.
