    Description

    This old Remo Weather King head came off a very old openback 5 string banjo. The head measures 10 3/4" in 3 directions, 10 7/8" in 1.
    The sides of the banjo hoop were painted with shiny roof paint, a common occurrence back in the old days to make the banjo shiny. This paint got on the flesh hoop of the Remo head, as you can see in the pictures. I have not cleaned it; I thought the frosting might continue to come off.
    I Do Not Think It Will Fit On A 11" Banjo Rim.
    It doesn't appear to have any holes & might clean up a bit.
    If you're looking for that "pre-EPA" tone from long ago, this might be very useful to you.
