    Description

This is a paper draft-at-home pattern for a basic 1920s to 1930s Men's or Boy's shirt. The shirt features a shoulder yoke, different collar versions, and long sleeves.
The illustrator had a bit of extra imagination in drawing the shirt. The rounded yoke front is not included but can be drafted from the existing shirt. This is a basic sloper pattern that will draft true to size, which you can then adapt to your style needs. Two collar options are available. The original source material did not include cuffs so we have included a cuff from another 1930s pattern which you may adapt to your needs.
The tie as illustrated is not included.
This is a pattern from a French pattern drafting system fairly similar to the Lutterloh golden rule patterns. You will be able to draft a pattern to your exact size from the miniature pattern template and specially designed rulers.
Fabric: this pattern requires approximately 3 meters (about 3 1/2 yards).
    SIZING:
To draft any of these special patterns to doll, children, and adult sizes is easy. Rulers are available to draft the pattern as small as a 5 1/2" chest /hip to as large as a 60" chest /hip and the pattern will be scaled perfectly every time.
ALL RULERS ARE INCLUDED AS PRINTABLES WITH THESE PATTERNS.
The pattern includes basic markings and notches that show you how they fit together, and indications such as dotted lines for cutting on the fold. I have included several pages of drafting instructions that I have translated from the original French personally. The illustrated instructions show you how to easily draw your pattern pieces from the miniature pattern template using your special ruler.
These patterns were marketed originally to both home seamstresses and professionals alike and assume that you have a basic understanding of clothing construction. The original patterns DO NOT include any sewing instructions. To sew these, you should have a basic understanding of how pattern pieces should fit together. The pattern pieces are illustrated in such a way that you can see how they are supposed to be sewn to each other.
    DIFFICULTY LEVEL: ADVANCED.
Please keep this in mind as you purchase. As much as we try to offer technical support with our patterns, we got lots of emails every day so please don't be disappointed if we can't answer your sewing questions on these patterns.
