.150" Is about the optimal internal port diameter for small-bore .177 to .25 caliber airguns with ammo up to around 35 grains. From our testing since 2009 we've found that there's no significant gain in FPS from .150" to .156", then the FPS starts to drop as the ID gets larger from there. For ammo heavier than 35 grains and/or larger calibers the port size needs to increase more. Our Magnum Valves with the optimal angled ports and custom transfer sleeves produce more power than any others on the market.
    The larger the
port the slower the air moves but the higher the force generated, the smaller the port the faster the air moves but the lower the force generated. There's a balancing point where the air has enough force to get the pellet moving effectively while maintaining the highest possible velocity. That balancing point is what our custom valves and transfer sleeves are designed to produce. We've tested ours against those sold by all our competitors, ours consistently produce more power and do it with less air which means they also help increase shot count in CO2, PCP and HPA setups.
The photos show the custom sleeve on the right compared to a standard factory sleeve on the left. The custom sleeve is chamfered on the inner edge of the valve side to smooth air-flow.
The inside diameter is .150" to match our Magnum Valves.
Compared to a standard steel sleeve, it increases air-flow for the best possible performance. The valve output is the most important factor in increasing power, then the transfer and barrel ports come next. The gain in power from this sleeve over the factory sleeve is barely noticeable with an otherwise factory gun, with a power-modded valve the gain is more noticeable, with higher-powered guns like HPA and PCP or HPA and PCP converted models the gains are much more dramatic.
    W
ith standard Discovery, 22XX and 13XX valves, this custom sleeve helps compensate for misalignment of the ports. This is often caused by the valve-port hole in the tube being out of alignment which seats the gasket off-center to the valve port. The rubber gasket allows the port to angle and align with the valve and barrel ports as the breech is tightened down. The combination of a slight port angle and the larger ID compensates for the misalignment.
    It fits 1377C, PC77, 1322C, P1377, P1322, 2289G Backpacker, 2240, 2250B, 2260, 2300T, 2300S, Benjamin Discovery, Crosman Custom Shop and related models.
It will not fit older 1377, 1322, 1400 or similar models that have a sliding breech cover.
There are different model numbers for different variations of the 1377 and 1322 models going back over 50 years, like 1377, 1377C and P1377. The original 1377/1322 models had a steel breech with a sliding bolt cover and cocking knob on the back of the pump-tube, then they changed to a plastic breech with a sliding breech cover and cocking knob, then in the 90's they changed to a plastic breech with a bolt handle (AKA bolt-action) and they started selling steel breech upgrade kits for those. The sliding breech cover models don't fit this transfer sleeve or the modern factory sleeve.
