    Description
    Geoff Stelling has built some of the finest banjos in history.  He recently retired and no more Stelling Banjos will be made.  This Moonflower is a limited edition banjo made for two years, 1988 and 1989. It's similar to a Stelling Sunflower but with a dark finish.  This banjo is definitely rare and is a must have for a complete Stelling Banjo Collection.
    This has a Curly Maple Neck and Resonator with an Ebony Fretboard.  Each side of the neck and resonator have w/b/w binding and the fretboard has what would be typically called a Sunflower inlay pattern.  The hardware is nickel and all original including a one piece Stelling Ribbon Flange and a No Hole Stelling Tone Ring.
    The banjo is all original except for new tuners at the first 4 strings.  This also has a Hardshell, Stelling Case.
    Condition
    This banjo is in absolutely fantastic condition.  The only flaw is there was a capo on at the neck and there is finish cracking in the lacquer on the back of the neck under the headstock.
    The hardware has been disassembled at our shop and cleaned and looks fantastic.  The finish is also clean and has been waxed.  The frets and fretboard are in great shape. There are spikes at frets 7,9 and 10.  The original case is clean as well.
    Set Up
    This is set up with a Remo frosted head that is set to 90.  The bridge is an original Stelling Bridge and the strings are new Huber .10 gauge Truetone Strings.  This banjo is superb and is ready to go.
