    Description

I purchased this instrument recently at an estate auction in Clear Spring MD. I have bought and sold Weymann stringed instruments before and this one is clearly in the best cosmetic condition i have owned. Collector Grade is reflected in price.
    Highlights:
    1. All Weymann stringed instruments have serial number and model pressed into the tip of the headstock. This SN 29821 suggests 1922. Style No. 40
    2. These instruments have a unique mechanism to manipulate the neck angle. Action is exceptionally low for a 100 Year old mandolin.
    3. Unique W&S logo drum nut tool. (More evidence this instrument has been in a closet for 80 Years)
    4. Unusual dark brown finish. I can find no other online examples of this finish on this model.
    5. Check out the great "ply" structure of the pot.
    6. I believe head and bridge are original to the instrument.
